How Do I Check in at LAN.com?

Check-in at LAN.com has 5 easy steps:

Step 1: Search for the flight for which you need to perform the Check-in

Click on the "Check-in" button found on the third tab of the LAN.com main page.
Once you’re on the service page, you have two alternatives for searching the flight in question: via your ID document number or your reservation code.

Step 2: Select all passengers for Check-in

Check the flight itinerary and verify whether your flight is:

Open for Check-in: this mean that it is within the permitted Check-in period.
Not yet open for Check-in: this means that it is not within the permitted Check-in period.
Closed: this means that the flight in question is not operated by LAN, or that the Check-in period has already expired.
During this step, you also have to choose the passengers who want to check in for the flight.

Step 3: Passenger information detail

Enter the information for the passenger(s) to be checked in.
In some cases, this information will already have been filled in by the system. Even so, we ask that you verify that the information is correct.

Step 4: Select your seat

During this step, you can choose the seat you want (depending on availability). Remember, if you’re an Elite-level member, you’ll have access to preferential seating for the flight. In addition, you’re travel companion will also have access to these seats, even if he or she is not an Elite-level LANPASS member.
If you have more than one flight to choose a seat for, you can select it from the flight listing at the top of the page, or select the seats for the first flight and then click on “Continue” to see the next flight and make your next selection

Step 5: Print your Boarding Pass

Print your Boarding Pass. If you are only traveling with carry-on luggage, head directly to the boarding gate. If you are traveling with additional luggage that needs to be checked, go to the counters dedicated exclusively to pre-checked-in passengers.
If were only able to select a seat because the route did not allow for the pre-check-in process, this step will allow you to print a pre-check-in voucher with your information and selected seat. Don’t forget that you also have to provide all your relevant documentation at the airport.
