At noon, enjoy lunch at “El Galeon” Restaurant, located inside the city’s Mercado Central. The Mecardo Central de Santiago was awarded 5th best market of the world by National Geographic; placed under a wrought-iron, art nouveau canopy dating from 1872, this animated fish market is filled with an extraordinary array of fish, from barnacles to giant squids, and many other species unlabeled, untranslatable, or unknown outside Chile. Lunch included without beverages. Return to hotel.
Day 2: Santiago

Full Day Casablanca Valley tour (Casas del Bosque & Matetic Vineyards)
Departure from Santiago towards the West in order to get to the Casablanca Valley, the second wine valley closest to the Chilean capital. This valley is one of the most important one in the production of white premium Chilean wines. Its weather conditions, specially the shelter offered by the valley and the sea breeze due to its closeness to the coast, allow the production of wines renown worldwide.
First stop is Casas del Bosque Vineyard. For many years, the main vineyard Manager and owner Juan Cuneo Solari, son of Italian immigrants, dreamed of having his own vineyards to produce world-class wines. He was able in 1993 to establish the Casas del Bosque Vineyard, a family boutique vineyard exclusively oriented to the production of high quality wines. They carefully handle and control their entire grape production and all treatments, resulting in the highest quality product. The vineyard has under production over 235 hectares of white vines such as: Chardonnay, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc; and red vines: Syrah and Pinot Noir. The ultra-premium Carménère and Cabernet Sauvignon red wines come from the Rapel and Maipo Valleys. 80% of their wines are exported to over 50 countries and the remaining 20% is distributed within Chile. They say one of the keys to their success is having innovative and sustainable techniques. A video about the Casablanca Valley and the Wine-making Process is presented before visiting the wine cellars, where you enjoy a tasting of 4 varieties of wines. Before leaving, visit the Wine Store, where you can purchase bottles of wine to bring home and enjoy. Further on the evening, arrival to Matetic Vineyards, where you will enjoy exquisite food paired with their renowned wines, relax in a peaceful place and regain a sense of balance and connection with the land. Its restaurant, Equilibrio, known for its culinary excellence, unites tradition and innovation. Equilibrio specializes in typical Chilean dishes with a touch of contemporary cuisine using local ingredients. Accompany the meal with excellent wine pairing with their own Matetic wines.
