Day 1: Buenos Aires
Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, you will be picked up and taken immediately to your comfortable hotel. The city offers many different types of activities to enjoy, so we recommend exploring the city to get a feel for the people, culture, and energy Argentina has to offer. We also highly recommend trying some of the local restaurants where you will find a variety of cuisine, ranging from the great parrilla (BBQ), pastas, pastries, Mexican, vegetarian, and some more exotic options. Night in Buenos Aires.
Day 2: Buenos Aires - Walking City Tour + The Argentine Experience Dinner
After breakfast, and joining the guide at the meeting point, you will start the wonderful walking tour of the “Paris of South America”. The walk focuses on the areas of Retiro and Recoleta, where Buenos Aires most clearly expresses its Parisian character, acquired in the early 20th century through its architectural styles and urban design. Plaza San Martín is one of the best examples of the belle époque, being the place where the upper class families settled and built their impressive residences at the turn of the century. We will also visit other spots that reflect the French influence, Alvear Avenue and Pellegrini Square.

At night enjoy the wonderful Argentine Experience Dinner. To start off you will make your own empanada, choosing from our gourmet fillings. Bring out your inner chef while learning the traditional “repulgue” technique. Next, show off your creation by entering it in our empanada competition - with prizes for the winner. Served alongside your empanadas enjoy sliced chorizo sausage, grilled provoleta cheese, and our homemade chimichurri. For the main course, you will learn how to order a steak correctly in Spanish, and enjoy a famous fillet steak using our unique 24 hour preparation method, cooked to order, served with mashed potatoes, oven roasted vegetables and our homemade chimichurri. Also, learn how to communicate like a true Porteño by learning their classic hand gestures. For dessert make your own alfajores with sweet vanilla biscuits, dulce de leche, melted chocolate, and coconut shavings. Also, learn the history and etiquette of mate, a tea-like beverage and Argentina’s national pastime, as you prepare it from scratch. In addition you will learn about and enjoy two district red wines paired to complement our food; white wine available on request.
Note: Unlimited wine and water are served throughout the entire dinner. Vegetarian, celiac options are available upon request.
Day 3: Buenos Aires – Bariloche + Asado (BBQ) with a Local Family
After breakfast, you will be picked up and travel to the airport for your flight to Bariloche. Once in Bariloche you will be met and transported to your hotel. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore and enjoy the surrounding areas. At night, you will be taken to a local family
Day 4: Bariloche - Curanto Lunch
After breakfast, you will be picked up for a short scenic drive called \\\"Circuito Chico.\\\" You will be driving by Nahuel Huapi Lake, the famous Llao Llao Hotel & Resort, and the beautiful San Eduardo Chapel built by architect Alejandro Bustillo. You will arrive on time for lunch at the unique Colonia Suiza village for its tasty “curanto.” The curanto is a typical meal introduced from Chile by Emilio Goye, one of the founders of this Swiss village. This meal is cooked on hot stones inside a hole in the ground. These stones are from the lake and are heated in a real fire. On top of the stones, they put big leaves of Nalca (a big plant from the Valdivian forest on the border of Argentina & Chile.) The food, cooked on top of the leaves, consists of red meat, chicken, pork, sausages, potatoes, pumpkins filed with cheese & beans, sweet potatoes, apples, carrots, etc. Its unique taste is a great option for meat lovers as well as vegetarians. After the meal, you will return to your hotel. Night in Bariloche.
Day 5: Bariloche – Nahuel Huapi Navigation (Boat Tour)
After breakfast, you will be picked up and taken to the port/pier. While browsing Tristeza, you will explore a deep glacial fjord in the southwest of Lake Nahuel Huapi, surrounded by steep mountains and waterfalls. You will enter the lake area between the Cerro Lopez and Chapel Hill, both with steep slopes, and will discover numerous waterfalls. During the tour, and if weather permits, you can observe the majestic Mount Tronador towering over the landscape with its glaciers and eternal snows. When you arrive at the end of the water tour, we disembark for an easy walk to the waterfall Frey Creek, in the heart of the forest. It is an idyllic and stunning natural spot. Night in Bariloche.
Day 6: Bariloche - Mendoza
After breakfast, you will be picked up and transported to the airport for your flight to Mendoza. After arrival in Mendoza, you will be taken to your selected hotel.
*Note about the Wine Festival, Fiesta de la Vendimia, in Mendoza: If travelers arrive during the first weekend of March, we recommend attending Fiesta de la Vendimia -- one of the biggest wine celebrations on the planet. The festivities include sampling of the local traditional cuisine, a beauty contest, folkloric dances and songs, gaucho performances, and all sorts of wine samplings and events in a carnival-like atmosphere. Wine lovers from Argentina and around the world descend onto this beautiful city at the foothills of the Andes to enjoy the celebrations and sample some of the greatest Malbecs available.
Day 7: Mendoza – Full Day Tour of 3 Wineries
After breakfast, you will start the wine tour that includes visiting three iconic bodegas. As winemaking reflects much of Argentina´s history you will be able to learn about the origins of local wine making, the impact of the first immigrants that settled in the area, the development of the wine industry, and the innovation implemented by the latest generations of Mendoza´s winemakers. During the tour you will learn about three different ways of evaluating high-quality wines. Accompanied by a specialized guide you will be able to explore each of the three bodegas in detail. Wine tasting is included in every winery. After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel. Night in Mendoza.
Day 8: Mendoza - City Tour & Cooking Class at Finca
After breakfast, you will enjoy a morning city tour of Mendoza. This tour offers you the opportunity to explore the places that characterize Mendoza, while learning about Mendoza’s historical origins. You will visit the city center, including its museum and the ruins of San Francisco. You will also visit the General San Martin Park with its imposing fountain, lake, and thousands of different species of plants and trees. Finally at the top of the hill is Cerro de la Gloria; where you will visit the monument of the Army of the Andes Mountains with its leader, the liberty fighter General San Martin.
In the afternoon you will be taken to a special vineyard, Finca, where you will enjoy a cooking experience with a local chef. You will learn to prepare typical regional food consisting of fresh products that you can obtain easily any place of the world. You will prepare “empanadas mendocinas” in a clay oven, and cook meat and vegetables on the open fire with fresh chumichurri sauce made with Arauca olive oil from Finca itself. You will finish the class with a desert: caramelized fruit from the clay oven, topped off with herbs from the Finca. You can participate interactively in the preparation and cooking, or if you prefer, just sit back with a glass of Finca’s nice Malbec wine and watch Chef Cristina cook. The classes are held in a specially prepared place underneath the old walnut tree. Night in Mendoza.
Day 9: Mendoza - Buenos Aires – Closed Door Dinner
After breakfast, you will be picked up and taken to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. Once there, you will be transported to your selected hotel. This evening, enjoy a unique food and wine experience in Buenos Aires. The hot, popular, gastronomic trend is “closed door” restaurants, a concept whereby some of the city’s best chefs create culinary wonders and serve them in their homes.
Day 10: Buenos Aires - Parrillas Tour
After breakfast, get ready for a great local Parrillas experience! Parrillas are Argentine restaurants offering the most traditional cuisine. Most visitors to Buenos Aires only dine at the most touristy parrillas published in guidebooks, and sadly miss out on some of the city’s most delicious gems. To experience and taste authentic Porteño flavors, join us on our Parrilla Tour and discover hole-in-the-wall restaurants where the locals go, learn about Argentina’s culture and cuisine, and meet others during the relaxed and social tour. (Transportation to the meeting point not included).
The Parrilla Tour includes:
>Walking tour of 3 different authentic local restaurants
>Tasting traditional foods at each stop, and excellent Argentine wines
>Visit to one of the best artisanal “heladerias” (ice cream shops) in the city
>English explanations of the food s
