The baggage exemption is determined in accordance with he flight's origin and destination. When the trip requires more than one flight to reach the destination, there may be differences in the baggage exemptions for the respective flights. LAN will respect the more permissive exemption in the following cases:

Connection: an intermediate stop of less than 24 hours.
Stopover: an intermediate stop of more than 24 hours (the more permissive exemption will only apply from the origin to the final destination if the route corresponds to a single purchase).

Maximum Weight and Dimensions fro Baggage

Volume: 158 centimeters (width + length + height)

The weight cannot exceed 45 kilograms (except on connections with Iberia, British Airways and Qantas, and flights to and from Europe and Oceania, where the maximum baggage weight is 32 kilograms).

If the baggage exceeds these maximums, it must be sent via LANCARGO.
