Musical Instruments

Musical instruments must be transported as part of the passenger's checked baggage, within the exemption permitted by the service class and route purchased. Because these are fragile items, they must be transported in specially designed containers.

In the case of small musical instruments, these can be transported in the cabin so long as they are carried in their case and meet the established measurements for carry-on luggage.

LAN's responsibility for any damage incurred by these items is limited to what is established by law and standing international treaties.
