Practical tips and recommendations
The following is a list of practical tips and recommendations regarding your
baggage:
- Indicate your name, address and telephone number on the outside of your
bag. It is also recommended that you do the same on the inside of your
bag.
- Don't pack fragile or perishable goods in the luggage you intend to check.
LAN will not be held responsible for the loss or damage of said articles.
- Valuable items such as jewelry, money and electronics should be included
in your carry-on luggage. LAN will not be held responsible in the event that
such articles are lost or damaged. For more information, consult the Air
Transport Agreement.
- It is recommended that you carry articles such as medication, prescriptions,
personal documents and keys with you.
- We do not recommend transporting liquor, wine or other beverage bottles,
as they may break, causing damage to the contents of your luggage, as well
as the luggage belonging to your fellow passengers.
- Your carry-on luggage
must conform to the dimensions and weight indicated by the airline. If
it does not, it will be taken from the boarding gate to the aircraft hold.
This eventuality may involve excess baggage fees.
