All sporting equipment will be considered part of the checked baggage exemption (according to the route and cabin class purchased), as long as:

For safety reasons, in the case of bicycles traveling in one piece, the handlebars must be fixed sideways and the pedals must be removed. Otherwise, they must be wrapped in a material that prevents them from damaging other items.
LAN's responsibility for any damage incurred by these items is limited to what is established by law and standing international treaties.
NOTE:
* Between 23 and 45 kilograms, you must pay the normal excess baggage fee for the route. If the item weighs more than 45 kilograms, it must be sent via LANCARGO.
