Terms and Conditions
General Conditions:
- The reservation should be for at least one adult passenger (over 18 years old).
- The ticket must be valid (validity: 12 months from the original issue date).
- The date change doesn't extend the ticket's validity, since validity from the original date of the ticket's first issue is maintained.
- A reissue is only possible for the same class and fare or higher fares. If there is no availability in the original ticket class, the ticket will be reissued in a class within the same group or a higher one, with the passenger paying the difference.
- Tickets which have been part flown within the period of validity of the original fare can be changed, as long as they comply with all the original conditions and keep the same reservation class and rate.
- If the date/flight/route change leaves the passenger with a positive balance, will be awarded a discount certificate. This can only be used through LAN.com for a future purchase of flights sold by LAN and of the same or lesser value (since any surplus will not be refunded). Its validity is the same as the original ticket (one year from the date of issue).
- If the date/flight/route change incurs an additional cost (to be paid by the passenger) because of a difference in the rate or an increase in the cost of taxes when the change is made or because of an increase in the number of stopovers or connections, it can be paid online during the change process.
- Your flight should have a maximum of two rate components. That is to say, your flight reservation should be outbound (e.g. Miami/Lima), return (Miami/Lima/Miami) or return with connections (e.g. Miami / connection in Lima / Cusco / connection in Lima / Miami). These conditions do not apply for other types of flight.
- Passengers who have already checked in should cancel their check-in before making the date change.
- For package holidays with a stay included, changing your flight does not mean that the date of your hotel stay has been changed too.
- For route changes, the date of the last itinerary change is considered the issue date.
Route changes with segment flown:
- Once your journey has started, itinerary changes are not allowed. Date changes are allowed, but only in the following circumstances:
(a) When all the reservation’s passengers are adults;
(b) The flight is a direct one (without connections or stopovers)
(c) The fare associated with the new date is of the same or of a higher value than the original fare. If the date change generates a balance in favor of the passenger, it cannot be carried out through LAN.com but rather the passenger must go to a LAN Sales Office or request it through the LAN Contact Center.
Note: We don't recommend you change your ticket if it is part of a package holiday with a hotel stay included, since the dates of your stay in the hotel will not change, regardless of whether this was purchased at a LAN office or through the LAN Contact Center or a travel agency.
