    If something is missing from your luggage or you left something on the plane, please follow these steps:

    Contact LAN personnel in the baggage reclaim area, before leaving the airport.
    Formalize your complaint presenting your passport or ID, boarding pass and luggage receipt.
       
    In order for your claim to be valid, you must contact us within 7 days of the arrival date of your flight.

    Remarks

    You are advised to take any valuables, documents, money, jewelry and any fragile and electronic items in your carry-on baggage. When transporting baggage, LAN does not assume any responsibility above and beyond the limits set down in law relating to loss, damage or delay of items which are fragile and/or highly valuable, whether they are commercial or personal. Additionally, any compensation from LAN is subject to reasonable and acceptable proof of the damages suffered by the passenger.
