LAN informs the status of its flights to and from New York given the current weather conditions

Regarding the weather conditions affecting the city of New York, LAN Airlines would like to indicate the following:

As a result of the snow storm that is going to affect New York, John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) will be closed from February 8 at 16:00 to February 9 at 16:00 LT.

For this reason, the company has had to reschedule some of its flights. Next, check the new time for your flight:

Passengers with LAN tickets who are affected by the cancelation or rescheduling of their flights can choose from the following alternatives:

  • A date/flight change without paying a fine, flying up to February 15, 2013, as long as there is space available in the original cabin for LAN flights and subject to class for flights with other companies included in their ticket.
  • A date/flight change without paying a fine, flying up to March 15, 2013 and paying any difference in price that may occur.
  • A route change without paying a fine where legally allowed in the country of purchase and paying any difference in price that may occur. 

Refunds processed irrespective of the restrictions of the purchased fare and according to local guidelines are only available in Europe, the U.S.A., Canada, Chile, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Argentina.

Given that this is a contingency for which the company is not responsible, exceptions for date changes and refunds for LANTOURS DST ground services purchased directly through LAN are subject to the policies established by each operator.
