The company is providing all possible commercial assistance in this situation, which in itself is beyond its control. For this reason, passengers may choose from the following alternatives, as long as these changes are requested and processed no more than 30 days after the original travel date:

- Domestic routes in Chile: Passengers with canceled flights on: - Saturday 22 october 2011 from/ to /via Temuco, Valdivia and Osorno.
- Wednesday 31 August 2011 from/ to /via Puerto Montt and Osorno.
- Sunday 21 August 2011 to/from Valdivia and Osorno.
- Saturday 20 August 2011 to/from Concepción, Temuco, Valdivia and Osorno.
- Friday 19 August 2011 to /from / Valdivia y Temuco
- Thursday 18 August 2011 to /from / Temuco
- Sunday 31 July 2011 to /from / Valdivia and Temuco

Can choose: a change in date/flight without fine while respecting other rate regulations and subject to original cabin availability, as long as the complete trip of the flights is reprogrammed no later than 15 October 2011 (except between September 15-20, when the change applies subject to CLASS). Requests to reprogram domestic flights beyond the aforementioned deadlines (outbound and/or return) will be subject to class availability and ticket validity.
Route change: As an exception, passengers on these flights who decide travel to Valdivia, Temuco or Puerto Montt by their own means to board flights to/from Santiago from these cities may opt for an involuntary route change, without paying a fine and subject to cabin availability only for flights on July 30.
- Domestic routes in Argentina:
- Passengers with cancelled flights to/from Aeroparque up to July 7 on affected routes can opt for a date/flight change (which can be both outbound and return simultaneously), without paying a fine and subject to original cabin availability, as long as the finished trip is rescheduled on or before July 11, 2011 and in accordance with the fare’s other regulations. The only exception is for passengers with issued KMS+Payment promotion tickets wanting to reschedule the date of their trip after July 11, who can only obtain an involuntary refund.
- Passengers with cancelled flights to/from Aeroparque (except to/from Bariloche) on July 8 and 10 can opt for a date/flight change (which can be both outbound and return simultaneously), without paying a fine, in accordance with fare regulations and subject to cabin availability up to July 13 and between August 3 and September 14 and subject to class availability between July 14 and August 2. In addition, passengers with issued KMS+Payment promotion tickets who want to reschedule the date of their trip after July 13 can only obtain an involuntary refund.
- Passengers with cancelled flights to/from Bariloche on July 8 and 10 can opt for a date/flight change (which can be both outbound and return simultaneously), without paying a fine, in accordance with fare regulations and subject to cabin availability up to July 13 and between August 23 and September 14 and subject to class availability between July 14 and August 22. In addition, passengers with issued KMS+Payment promotion tickets who want to reschedule the date of their trip after July 13 can only obtain an involuntary refund.
- Passengers on cancelled flights to/from Aeroparque on July 26 can choose from the following exceptions, as long as changes are requested and processed no more than 30 days after their original travel date. The only exception is for passengers to/from Bariloche and Neuquen who have not yet rescheduled their flight, who have 60 days from the date of their original travel date to request changes. Passengers can choose from a date/flight change (which can be both outbound and return simultaneously), without paying a fine, respecting the fare regulations, subject to cabin availability and as long as the trip is rescheduled on or before September 14. Passengers with issued KMS+Payment promotion tickets who want to reschedule the date of their trip can only obtain an involuntary refund. Requests to reschedule (outward and/or return) domestic flights beyond the mentioned deadlines are subject to class availability and ticket validity. Passengers on cancelled flights to/from Buenos Aires (Aeroparque and Ezeiza), Cordoba and Rosario on October 16th and 17th. - International route to/from Chile: Passengers with canceled and non-canceled flights up to June 21 can opt for a date/flight change without paying a fine, respecting the other fare regulations and subject to availability of the original cabin, as long as all the international flights that are part of the journey are rescheduled on or before September 14, 2011, from the date on which the change is requested and processed.
- International route to/from Uruguay: Passengers with canceled and non-canceled flights up to July 2nd and passengers on cancelled flights LAN904 and LA905 on July 7, from and to Montevideo, can opt for a date/flight change without paying a fine, respecting the other fare regulations and subject to availability of the original cabin, as long as all the international flights that are part of the journey are rescheduled on or before September 14, 2011, from the date on which the change is requested and processed.
- On October 16th and 17th to/from Montevideo. - International route to/from Argentina: Passengers with cancelled and non-cancelled flights to travel:
- Up to July 1 to/from Buenos Aires and Rosario
- On July 7 and 8 to/from Buenos Aires and Rosario.
- On July 10 and 11 to/from Buenos Aires.
Can opt for a date/flight change, without paying a fine, respecting the fare’s other regulations (except for seasonality for flights on July 8) and subject to availability in the original cabin, as long as all the journey’s international flights are rescheduled on or before September 14, 2011, from the date on which the change is requested and processed.
As an exception, refunds without paying a fine and regardless of the fare regulations will be allowed on the Ezeiza, Lima, Punta Cana and Rosario, Lima, Punta Cana routes (in both directions), due to the fact that the lack of available seats makes it impossible to reschedule the flights on different dates.
- On October 16th and 17th to/from Buenos Aires (Aeroparque and Ezeiza), Cordoba and Rosario.

Passengers who do not want date changes for the mentioned routes can also opt for:
A route change without paying a fine: passengers with flights to/from Valdivia and Temuco who decide to travel to Osorno on their own means to embark from there to Santiago can choose an involuntary route change without fine, subject to cabin, only for flights departing and arriving in Valdivia and Temuco and the ticket must be reissued as an involuntary change in route to/from Osorno while maintaining the original fare construction. Changes for other routes will not be fined and will be subject to applicable fare differences and the reissue policies in force.
A refund, subject to all the fare regulations, except for passengers with tickets issued for affected flights in Europe, the United States, Canada, Chile, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand, who can obtain an involuntary refund of the ticket or the flight coupons according to current law.
Use of coupons in a different order to that in which they were issued: passengers with itineraries which involve affected flights may use their coupons in a different order to that in which they were issued, as long as they cancel unused intermediate legs before the travel date. Once their journey is over, they may request the involuntary refund of the unused coupons.
- Santiago/Sydney/Auckland route: Passengers whose flights were cancelled and who had reservations on flight LA801/ Santiago - Auckland - Sydney up until 26 June, and/or flight LA800/ Sydney - Auckland - Santiago up until 28 June, and who are in possession of any visas necessary for entry into Australia, may rebook their travel on the following special flights:
- LA805/ Santiago - Sydney on 23 and 25 June
- LA804/ Sydney - Santiago on 25 and 27 June
These flights will be made available in the system with a refueling stopover in Papeete, but with transport rights between SCL and SYD only.
Passengers rebooking onto special flights LA805/LA804 (who are in possession of any visas necessary for entry into Australia):
Passengers with final destination Sydney may rebook their travel onto the special flights for the dates mentioned above.
Passengers with final destination Auckland, or connections in Auckland en route to further destinations, and who are in possession of any visas necessary for entry into Australia, may opt to travel from Santiago to Sydney on special flights LA805/LA804.
Passengers not rebooking onto special flights or who are not in possession of necessary visas for entry into Australia: These passengers may make use of the following exceptions, so long as changes are requested and processed no later than 30 days after their original travel date:
- Date change: One change of date/flight with no rebooking fee (which may apply to changes of both legs of return tickets when processed at the same time), subject to availability in the same cabin as the original ticket, and for rebooked travel finishing no later than October 31, 2011, and subject to other tariff regulations (maximum, season, etc). Requests for rebooking onto flights outside of this period (outbound and/or return legs) are subject to class availability and ticket validity. Passengers who do not wish to make date changes for the routes mentioned above may opt for:
- Route change: One change of route with no rebooking fee, subject to applicable tariff differences and current reissuing policy.
- Refund: Subject to all tariff regulations. These restrictions may not apply to passengers who purchased their tickets in Europe, United States, Canada, Santiago, Brazil, AUstralia, or New Zealand for affected flights, who may opt for an involuntary refund applying to the ticket or flight coupons, in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
Requests to reschedule domestic or international flights beyond the deadlines mentioned (whether outbound and/or return) are subject to class availability and the ticket’s validity.
Passengers in transit at SCL
As an exception, passengers in transit in Santiago (with a LAN ticket) who arrive from another destination to connect with flight LA801 between June 21 and 26 will be offered the alternative of going back to their point of origin on a return ticket issued by LAN. This ticket will be issued between Santiago-their point of origin-Santiago, to be used together with their original ticket, given that they could not complete their flight. Both tickets corresponding to the entire flight should be rescheduled according to cabin availability no later than September 14, 2011.
To respond to all the clients whose flights have been affected more efficiently, the company has implemented a new Reschedule your flight tool, so that those passengers who need to change their itinerary and find out about the status of their flights can do so directly through this platform.
- International route to/from Chile, Uruguay: Passengers with canceled and non-canceled flights up to June 21 can opt for a date/flight change without paying a fine, respecting the other fare regulations and subject to availability of the original cabin, as long as all the international flights that are part of the journey are rescheduled on or before September 14, 2011, from the date on which the change is requested and processed.
