How to get around in Guayaquil

The arrival terminal at Guayaquil Airport offers several car rental services that are open 24 hours a day.

Since taxis are cheap, they are an affordable way to leave the airport and travel within the city. However, taxis do not use meters so it is a good idea to negotiate the price beforehand.

Most travelers use local buses to see the city, and short buses (with only 22 seats) are a quick way to travel long distances.
