About Guayaquil

Guayaquil is the most populous city in Ecuador and one of the most important ports in all of South America, making it the primary engine of the nation's economy.

Located on the banks of the Guayas River on the warm southern coast and just north of the Peruvian border, the area is located within the equatorial belt and therefore enjoys a privileged climate. It is the jumping off point for exploring nearby beaches and delving into historic monuments and exquisite traditional foods.
