How to get around in Santiago de Chile
Upon arrival, visitors can choose from several car rental options in addition to private shuttle services that travel between the airport and the city center, or even to the coastal area of Valparaíso. There are also taxis and buses, including an airport bus that connects with the Metro subway service.
To get around in Santiago, Chile, it's also possible to travel by taxi or colectivo (which circulates on a set route), by Metro or the urban bus network known as Transantiago. The last two options require a Bip! card which can be purchased and pre-charged at any Metro ticket window. Visitors can also rent a car or hire a guided tour.
