Destination guide: Ushuaia
Weather in Ushuaia
As with everything in Ushuaia, the weather differs from place to place: the southern extreme beyond Fagnano Lake has a sub-polar oceanic weather; the northern zone is cold sub-humid while the Andes range acts as a natural barrier to block cold air fronts off the Pacific with strong bursts of wind from the southeast.
Because the sea tends to temper weather, the average low is not terribly extreme although highs are a bit lower than cities located at the same latitude. Ushuaia's proximity to the continent of Antarctica also brings polar fronts that chill the entire province.
