LAN informs about the Quito International Airport relocation
The new Mariscal Sucre International Airport in Quito will begin operating on February 20. In order to help passengers adapt to this change, LAN Ecuador is recommending they bear in mind the following:
1. Take into account the transfer time
The new Mariscal Sucre International Airport is located in Tababela, approximately 2 hours from Quito. Passengers should make sure they leave enough time for their transfer so they arrive for their flight on time and avoid any problems.
2. Be at the airport on time
It is very important that passengers for domestic flights are at the airport 1 hour and 30 minutes before their flight’s departure; for international flights, passengers should be there 3 hours before.
3. Use our web check-in service
Passengers can carry out their web check-in at www.lan.com, from 48 to 2 hours prior to their flight, taking a printed version of their boarding pass with them. By using this service, passengers can save time when in line, choose their seat and arrive at the airport relaxed.
