How many kms do you earn flying LAN?

The amount of kms earned will depend on where you're travelling, the rate you're purchasing at, the class you're travelling in and your membership category.

We recommend:

• First find out the distance in kms between your city of departure and your destination. If you're flying on a route with a connection, check the distance for each journey separately.
• Second check the earned percentage that applies on the real distance flown on the tables provided, depending on the rate paid and the route type.

Please note: For connecting flights, that is, when changing planes, kms earned will refer to adding each journey you've flown. You would also apply the earned percentage corresponding to the rate purchased, in accordance to the tables below:

For example:
Flight Buenos Aires - New York, with a connecting flight (airplane change) in Lima, purchased at CK or SP rate. This is a basic rate:

• You earn 25% of the journey to Buenos Aires - Lima (a journey below a 7 hour flight): 788 kms. (25% of the 3.151 kms.).
• Earn 100% on the journey from Lima to New York (journeys over 7 hrs): 5.861 kms. (100% of the 5.861 kms.).
• You earn a total of 6.649 kms.

IMPORTANT: Find rate code for the ticket you purchased on the 8 character Rate List which you can see on your Purchase Information document. Corresponding to the fourth and fifth positions:

According to class:

Bonus points on your account will depend on the class type, which earns 25% more LANPASS kms every time you fly on Premium Business Class.

According to member category:

Premium Members: are provided an additional de 25% kms based on the distance earned on LAN and American Airlines flights. Example: If you fly 10.000 kms, you earn 12.500 kms on your account.

Premium Silver and Commodore Class Members: are provided with a 100% additional kms on the earned distance on LAN and American Airlines. Example: If you fly 10.000 kms, you earn 20.000 kms. on your account.

According to the type of flight:

International flights

Flights longer than 7 hours (Includes flights between Peru and North America)

Example :

The actual distance flown in the Santiago - Madrid flight is 10,710 kms:
With FX (Flexible), you'll earn 100% of the kms, in other words, 10,710 LANPASS KMS.
With FF (Full Flexible), you'll earn 125% of the kms, in other words, 13,387 LANPASS KMS.
With First, you'll earn 150% of the kms, in other words, 16,065 LANPASS KMS.

Flights shorter than 7 hours (*) (Within South America)

Flights shorter than 7 hours (*) (Between North and South America, within Europe and within Oceania)

(*) Except flights between Peru and North America.

For example:

• The actual distance flown on the Santiago-Iquique flight is 1,430 kms.
• With FX (Flexible), you'll earn 100% of the kms, in other words, 1,430 LANPASS KMS.
• With FF (Full Flexible), you'll earn 125% of the kms, in other words, 1,787 LANPASS KMS.

Exception:

• Class O earns 25% of the kms. on all domestic routes in Chile, with the exception of kms. + $ promotions and last-minute offers, which don't earn kms.

• The actual distance flown on the Bogotá - Medellín flight is 233 kms, with a minimum distance of 800 kms.
  • With SP (Flexible), you'll earn 100% of the kms, in other words, 800 LANPASS KMS.
  • With FF (Full Flexible), you'll earn 100% of the kms, in other words, 1,600 LANPASS KMS.

• The actual distance flown on the Lima-La Paz flight is 1,083 kms.
• With FX (Flexible), you'll earn 100% of the kms, in other words, 1,083 LANPASS KMS.
• With FF (Full Flexible), you'll earn 125% of the kms, in other words, 1,225 LANPASS KMS.

• The actual distance flown on the Buenos Aires-Mendoza flight is 980 kms.
• With FX (Flexible), you'll earn 125% of the kms, in other words, 1,225 LANPASS KMS.
• With FF (Full Flexible), you'll earn 125% of the kms, in other words, 1,225 LANPASS KMS.

For example:

• With LE (Base Plus), you'll earn 100% of the kms, in other words, 1,200 LANPASS KMS.
• With FX (Flexible), you´ll earn 150% of the kms, in other words, 1,800 LANPASS KMS.

IMPORTANT:

• Remember that there are certain fares which don't allow kms. to be earned.
• Class O earns 25% of the kms. on all domestic routes in Chile, with the exception of kms. + $ promotions and last-minute offers, which earn 0%.
