Ecuador has many cities, each with their own distinct personalities. The capital of Ecuador, Quito, has the proud acknowledgement of being the first ever city to be recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage City, along with Krakow in Poland. Quito is a fast-paced, yet highly cultural city with the exciting historical diversity of being built on an ancient Inca city.

There are plenty more amazing cities to see in Ecuador, however. For example, Baños is the place to be for adventurous holidaymakers, marked by the presence of the smoking volcano Tungurahua.
