LANPASS members will now be able to transfer kilometers

March 29th, 2011.– In order to enhance their passenger’s travel experience, LAN Airlines (NYSE: LFL/IPSA: LAN) signed an agreement with Points.com (NASDAQ: PCOM; TSX: PTS), owner and operator of the world’s leading loyalty reward program management website, giving members of the LANPASS program better and more options to trade and use their kilometers.

Now, beginning March and for the first time, LANPASS’s members will be able to easily transfer kilometers between accounts online and share their kilometers with their family and friends. This benefit is operative in Chile since March 1st, in Argentina, Ecuador and Peru since March the 18th, and will progressively escalate to the rest of the markets where LAN operates.

“All the LANPASS members are of utmost importance to us so we’re always looking for great, innovative ways we can perfect their experience with LAN and transfer is a natural addition,” said Ralph Piket, Managing Director LANPASS. “Because our members value their hard-earned kilometers, we want to give them more freedom to share the wealth with their friends and loved ones”.

“As we continue to build a strong presence internationally, further aligning with a highly-esteemed brand like LAN Airlines is a significant step forward,” said Points International CEO Rob MacLean. “LAN introducing transfer options opens up a wider range of flexibility for LANPASS members to take full advantage of their kilometers”.

The conditions in regard to the kilometers transference are available in www.lan.com.
