Baggage Regulations

Baggage Exemption for trips with connecting flights

The baggage exemption is determined in accordance with he flight's origin and destination. When the trip requires more than one flight to reach the destination, there may be differences in the baggage exemptions for the respective flights. LAN will respect the more permissive exemption in the following cases:

Maximum Weight and Dimensions fro Baggage

The following weights and dimensions are the maximum ones allowed for each piece of checked (stowed) baggage regardless of any excess baggage charges paid (according to the allowance that applies to the route being flown by the passenger).

Volume: 203 cms (width + height + length).

Weight: 45 kilos (except on Iberia, British Airways and Qantas connections and flights to and from Europe and Oceania, where the maximum weight is 32 kgs).

If the baggage exceeds these maximums, it must be sent via LANCARGO.

Check the baggage exemptions for children and infants.
