Complaints are valid as long as they have been formalized in the baggage reclaim area before leaving the airport.
If something is missing from your luggage or you left something on the plane, please follow these steps:Contact LAN personnel in the baggage reclaim area, before leaving the airport.Formalize your complaint presenting your passport or ID, boarding pass and luggage receipt.
If you have already left the airport, you may go to the Baggage Service Office at your arrival airport for your trip, or call the Contact Center in the country where you are. We recommend you go directly to the airport for a faster and more effective solution.
We recommend putting valuables, documentation, money and jewelry, as well as fragile and electronic items, in your hand luggage. LAN takes no responsibility beyond the limits established by law for the loss or damage to or delay of commercial or personal fragile or high value items transported in baggage.
