After Buenos Aires, Cordoba is the largest and most important city in Argentina thanks to its financial and cultural wealth that garnered the city recognition in 2006 when UNESCO declared it the "American Capital of Culture".

In addition to being a national symbol of historic conservation (the city's colonial buildings erected in the 17th and 18th centuries are in perfect condition), Cordoba also shines for its reputation as a modern city that can adapt to the new era.
