Baggage Transportation

After you turn over your baggage at the Check-in counter, it is transported via conveyor belt to a loading area, where it is placed in containers according to its flight number and destination. During this process, your baggage may pass through automatic scanners, or it may be subject to a more exhaustive revision by airport security. For this reason, it is important to avoid leaving any loose or dangling straps (or other appendages) that may become entangled in the conveyor belt, as this may disrupt the distribution process or result in your baggage being damaged. It is also possible that defective or over-packed baggage will open spontaneously during this trajectory.

After it has been placed in the containers, your luggage will be loaded into the aircraft hold, usually using the transport belts designed for this purpose.

Due to limited space, baggage tends to be stacked in piles. The hold's compartments feature mesh nets and separators to maintain the pieces of baggage in their original positions. However, the bags may move somewhat due to the aircraft's positions during takeoff and landing.

Please keep in mind the process to which your baggage is subject when purchasing luggage - its quality and storage capacity are important considerations.
