LAN provides specialized services to passengers with specific requirements; please request them at our Contact Center or at any LAN office.
People who need any kind of special service cannot check in through LAN.com.
Medical Certificate for Travel
The passenger who has a particular medical condition must present their medical history in order to ensure that there are no contraindications to flying. For this, the standard medical information form (MEDIF), which consists of two parts, must be completed. The first part must be completed by LAN's sales office or failing that, by the very passenger, while the second part must be completed by the doctor treating the passenger.
This form must be presented by:
- Passengers who request stretchers.
- Passengers who request oxygen.
- Babies who require incubators.
- Newborns or lactating infants who require oxygen or any type of monitoring.
- Newborns seven days old or younger.
- Women with high-risk pregnancies.
- Women whose expected due date is less than 7 days.
- Passengers who have undergone surgery in the last 10 days.
- Passengers with cancer or other terminal illnesses.
- Passengers with high-risk mental or psychiatric disabilities
- Passengers with infectious contagious diseases.
- Others.*
