Special service to Bariloche via Esquel with an overland transfer (from july 16 to august 14)
As an alternative for passengers planning to travel to Bariloche during the winter vacations and to encourage tourism, LAN Argentina informs that it will be offering a special service from july 16 to august 14 on the Buenos Aires-Esquel-Buenos Aires route, with an overland transfer between Esquel-Bariloche-Esquel on buses provided by Rio Negro’s local government authorities.
For this reason, all passengers with issued tickets to travel to Bariloche from June 4 to July 31 can choose from the following alternatives:
- Service via Esquel: If flights to and from Bariloche are resumed while you’re traveling, the company will contact you to coordinate your return directly from Bariloche without having to travel to Esquel.
- A date/flight change without paying a fine: a date change can be made to fly within a year of the ticket’s issue date.
- A route change: A route change is allowed, applying the corresponding fare differences and without paying a fine.
- A refund: A refund subject to fare regulations.
If you decide to travel via Esquel, please contact our Call Center on 0810.9999.526 or go to one of our sales offices to confirm this service.
If you decide to choose one of the other alternatives, you can do so by internet, using the new Reschedule Your Flight tool, created by the company so that passengers who need to change their itineraries and find out about the status of their flight can do so directly using this platform. Passengers can also visit one of the company’s sales offices within 30 days of the date of their original trip or contact our Call Center.
Important information for passengers
Buses provided by the Rio Negro local government are using National Highway Nº 40 for the overland part of the Esquel-Bariloche-Esquel route. The road goes through the mountains and the journey lasts between 4 and 6 hours, depending on climatic conditions.
LAN is making a huge effort in coordinating this special flight to Esquel, a destination not normally flown to and whose airport is smaller than the one in Bariloche.
