Guayaquil airport's will be closed 4 weekends

Santiago, October 23th, 2007.

The Guayaquil Airport (GYE) will be closed to operations during the following weekends:

• November 10-11
• November 17-18
• November 24-25
• December 1-2

Please note that this is a contingency with no LAN responsibility.

Passengers having reservations and issued tickets to or from Guayaquil during the shutdown dates will be protected under the regular No-LAN responsibility protection procedure. As such, passengers will be permitted one change of date subject to original cabin availability, no penalties applicable, but keeping the other applicable regulations (maximum permitted stay, seasonality, etc.). Departure date may be rescheduled until December 30, 2007 (maximum permitted departure date).

In addition, involuntary reissue will be permitted for those passengers opting for traveling to Quito by their own means  by departing from   Guayaquil , while keeping the rest of their itinerary unchanged.
